“On the spot” project results presented on the innovation day of the Dutch Police
On December 4, Dragos Datcu and Stephan Lukosch from the Systems Engineering Section presented the project results of the “On the spot” project during the innovation day of the Dutch Police. During the innovation day, several experts from the police as well as industry related to the security domain could test the augmented reality environment that has been designed and developed in the “On the spot” project.
The “On the Spot” project investigates, in how far Augmented Reality (AR) can contribute to a shared operational picture and support operational decision-making. Using serious gaming approaches to design scenarios, the project researches in how far AR affects communication, information sharing, and as precondition for decision-making, also (team) situational awareness.
