PhD defence Xavier Fonseca “Location-based Games for Social Interaction in Public Space” – 28th January 2021, 12h30

Dear all,

It is with great pleasure that I am announcing that my PhD thesis, entitled “Location-based Games for Social Interaction in Public Space”, will be publicly defended at TU Delft on the 28th January 2021, 12h30.

In this date I will present and defend my work on how digital location-based games can be built in such a way to invite players to have social exchanges of quality between individuals, and be exposed to the physical environment surrounding them. This defence will be online, and everybody will be able to join. Please note the following timeline:

– Layman’s talk will occur at 12h
– Defence begins at 12h30 (and will last precisely 1h)

I would LOVE to have your presence, which, given corona times, it is made possible only at a digital format. I will be sharing the online link with the online community a few days prior to the defence. In the meantime, I invite you to access my PhD thesis here: https://doi.org/10.4233/uuid:9db1a0c4-89ba-4f9b-b32a-47b7bca5b55e

Stay healthy and safe,

Eng. Xavier Fonseca
